Sonya helped found Maplewood Healthcare as General Counsel in 2005, became Chief Operating Officer in 2017, and transitioned to the same position at Aspect Health in 2020. She focuses on transactional and operational management, as well as overseeing all client reporting and legal activities.

Prior to this, Sonya was a real estate associate at both Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Cox, Castle & Nicholson, where she gained extensive experience in real estate transactions, efficiently structuring, negotiating, and documenting purchase, sale, and finance transactions in connection with all types of real estate assets.

Sonya graduated with honors from the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a special emphasis on Finance and Entrepreneurship. She then attended Southwestern University in Los Angeles, edited the law review, and earned her Juris Doctorate magna cum laude. She has been a member of the State Bars of California and the District of Columbia since 1995.
